About Me
I am a confident, self-motivated and focused individual with a strong sense of the values that matter to me. I practice and appreciate the benefit of a growth mindset, the principles of teamwork, and the significance of self-belief and working hard towards a defined set of priorities and goals - either as an individual or within a team. I know that when I live these values and principles, I can commit to being the best that I can be, and I can help and encourage those around me to do the same. I take pride in my independence, but appreciate the value of feedback, communication and coaching to improve and grow. I am confident of my own abilities, I take time to understand and prioritise my goals, and I work hard to manage my time so that I can balance my schoolwork, training and my social life to achieve those goals. I relish a challenge; I am constantly curious, and I am comfortable with the idea of being uncomfortable; I enjoy the process of learning and discovery as much as I enjoy achieving my ambitions.

INTERVIEW
I am independent, strong, and resilient; I want to shape and follow my own path, but always I want to be the best that I can be - in sport or in school. I actively look for areas of self-improvement and will seek help and direction to achieve my full potential, stretching both mind and body. I am ambitious not only for myself but for those around me; nothing is more motivating than the camaraderie, sportsmanship and happiness of teammates and coaches when we are performing well. I am sociable, outgoing, and personable; I am just as comfortable talking to my own peer group as I am talking to coaches and teachers, and I can fit in and make friends easily. I would really like to make an impact and leave an impression in whatever I do. In the long term, I would like to be seen as a role model for other young girls who may be taller, more athletic, or just plain different from their peers.
I love both school and sport - so the ability to study and compete at an exceedingly high level, stretching both my academic and sporting ability, would be amazing. I would relish the opportunity to progress in a sport I love, train and race in environments of the highest standard, and work with coaches and athletes who would help me reach my full potential. I look forward to studying in another country where I can experience another culture - and gain a unique perspective in the course I study. I want to make new friends and build unforgettable memories with like-minded individuals who want to work, train, and play as hard as I do.
Outside of gaining a degree, I would like to be able to represent the university at the highest level. I want to commit to winning a nationally recognised championship - for example, the NCAA - with my teammates. I want to make new friends and travel in a country that we only see in movies; I want to discover for myself what it means to live in the USA today. I want to learn new skills and gain more experience - with a view to coaching future athletes and paying it forward. Above all - I want to contribute to a team and an institution that has invested in me and my goals; I want to leave a mark and make an impression for future students to follow.
